 Unsettling news from Metro Vancouver: the waitlist for social housing has surged to 18,865 households, with seniors and families being the most affected. According to the Housing Data Book for December 2023, BC Housing's waitlist has grown by 27% since 2022, and homelessness has increased by 33% since 2020. Despite efforts in supportive housing, low vacancy rates have led to a 30% rise in median rental rates over the past five years.  Let's raise awareness and work towards creating sustainable solutions for our community!
